These are some of the cats in Dottie’s Colony, a community of feral cats that
live on our property, and some the cats we've rescued.

When we moved in there was a shack on the property and cats living in it.  3
litters later, we got a trap from our vet, and began TNR.

TNR is a comprehensive plan where entire feral colonies are humanely
trapped, then evaluated, vaccinated, and neutered by veterinarians. Kittens
and cats that are tame enough to be adopted are placed in good homes. Adult
cats are returned to their familiar habitat to live out their lives under the
watchful care of sympathetic neighborhood volunteers.

While Dottie and two of her daughters still live on our property (4 years now),
we have not had a new litter since.  Strays continue to migrate through and
anybody who comes around long enough gets a trip to the vet.  We have
adopted cats into our home, and adopted out others.

If you would like to help or need assistance with TNR, animal rescue or
adoption please contact one of these organizations.
